KIOSK KREMROLE

Kremrole's proposal is based on several basic principles. The heritage-listed area in Skalka in Mníšek pod Brdy is supplemented by the minimum mass necessary to maintain the function of the building - the refreshment stand. The kiosk respects the spatial layout of the site and its axial positioning emphasizes the importance of the main dominant feature of the complex - the Church of St. Mary Magdalene. Abstract form, inspired by the natural character of the site, is tailored to the function of the building. It does not aim to copy the elements of the surrounding buildings, on the contrary, it clearly distinguishes itself from them. Both façades are glazed and the kiosk thus becomes essentially invisible from the main visual axes - it presents itself only in its narrowest profile.
