The threshold between Nusle and Vršovice

The area in question surrounds the train station Praha-Vršovice, which, after its reconstruction, by way of a new underpass breaches the historical barrier between Vršovice and Nusle. The main locations are the park in front of the station and a block at the other end of the underpass. The park lies on the outskirts of the district, the aim of the new pathway network is to improve accessibility and resting quality, whilst preserving all the full-grown trees. On the other side, the block is designated to be a multi functional complex as it lies in a predominantly residential area. To fill the surrounding urban structure, the concept was to preserve the block using the corner points, giving rise to 4 towers connected in the middle as an imitation of a gatehouse into the district.
