Annotation

Havlíčkův Brod, a picturesque town in the heart of the Highlands, named after important Czech writer and journalist Karel Havlíček Borovský, is not only a historical center with a rich cultural tradition but also an interesting example of urbanism and landscape architecture. Havlíček square forms the heart city together with the city park Budoucnost that is great exemplary landscape work architecture. The city is located on the river Sázava, which creates a green axis through the center of the city. With the exception of the square and the park the city is not using its full potential be an inspiring example architecture of public spaces and their seamless connection. Its urban planning and morphological framework has potential to become a city of architecture.
