Acute Angle House

The project is situated in the new district “Nové Dvory”. The property will be owned by the capital, represented by Municipal office. Municipal flats should be rented to those who can afford neither their own housing nor commercial rents. Therefore, each floor of the “Acute Angle House” consists of flats for students (one-room flat with kitchen corner or two-room flat for flatmates with a kitchen outside), for seniors (wheelchair-accessible two-room flat), for single parents (three-room flat with a kitchen corner) and larger families (four-room flat with a kitchen corner). The facades of the house are segmented and underline the “tectonics” of the house by means of small cornices and recessed windows. Cut-outs in the slab dominate the interior, bringing natural light into common areas.
