MONASTERY FOR THE AUGUSTINIANS

The territory of the former Jestřábí boudy is an ideal place for the location of the monastery and also provides a wonderful view of the landscape. For me, a monastery is a place of peace and tranquility. It is an earthly form of paradise, which is intended to help the monks, as well as us, get closer to the otherworldly world. The chapel, which is at the very end of the monastery, is therefore located on the highest floor so that we symbolically have to climb to heaven. Stairs and a footbridge provide access for visitors to the chapel, but at the same time enable public masses to be held on the roof of the church.
