Residential building - Na Františku, Prague

The subject of the assignment was to design new forms of housing in the growing environment of the historic city. The initial inspiration was a scheme of buildings in a Gothic city, which was printed in Jaroslav Herout's book Centuries Around Us. After analysing the site, which is on the border between a growing medieval town and a 19th century block development, I longed to design a modern form of townhouse.
