Living in the Street Na Františku

In the studio of Professor Lábus, we worked on the design of an apartment building on a corner lot in the Old Town. The land is located at the border of two types of development - from the northeast, the plot adjoins a medieval low-rise development. To the south-west of the processed land, there is a built-up area mainly dating from the 19th century. The proposed mass of the apartment building tries to bridge the mentioned two types of development. In the eastern part, the building is divided vertically with reference to the narrow center parcelling. The corner, on the other hand, is highlighted by a compact mass that rises one floor higher than the eastern part, which refers to the height level of the newer building.
