Annotation
The use of the relatively vast spaces of the military double barracks together with the spaces inside the bastion is a challenging issue, especially if it is a listed building. How can an architect approach a proposal so that the fortress town of Josefov preserves its face? What functions can be inserted into a historical object with a clearly given typology? Is it possible to adapt the existing function to modern, stricter conditions? My design takes the path of a similar function adapted to current standards with added civic amenities.
