Mnichovo Hradiště - Two houses in the parish yard

The St. James Pilgrimage Trail leading through Mnichovo Hradiště was the impulse for the use of land owned by the local parish for the construction of short-term or temporary housing. The original idea was more modest accommodation for pilgrims, but in the end the option of a more commercial accommodation facility, which can serve pilgrims, the public and the parish, prevailed. The second impulse was to help young people, families and seniors in difficult life situations in relation to the parish. Thus, two houses were created – an apartment building and accommodation with a common room. Both communicate with the parish courtyard, but with more formal facades and open more to a cozy garden with fruit trees and places to sit, rest, exercise and play.
