ZONE-ING

In its current state, the Dresdner Heide forest is torn between becoming a forest park for the residents of the city and fulfilling its purpose of sourcing materials to the whole area. There are also extensive parts of the forest placed under natural protection. Overall, the forest is trying to fulfil different functions that do not work or harmonize with each other. In my concept, I work with the existing tendency to fulfil multiple functions in order to best benefit the residents of Dresden, the forestry organization Sachsenforst, and the fauna and flora inhabiting the forest.
