Apartment building Generála Františka Moravce

The assignment was to design an apartment building on an unused plot in the town called Čáslav. The plot measuring 45x78m is located near one of the largest squares in our republic. In response to the surrounding houses, I created a 4-story building with 2 floors of parking below ground level. With its flat roof, the house connects to the ridges of the surrounding buildings, but from the perspective of a pedestrian, the mass would appear too massive, so the last floor is set back. The main highlight of the facade are the loggias, which visually soften the entire mass of the house. At the same time, loggias provide residents much-needed private outdoor space with a beautiful view of the landmarks of the city of Čáslav.
