Carpal tunel orthosis

Jiří Dufek

Annotation

Carpal tunnel orthoses are medical devices designed to relieve the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, which is characterised by oppression of the median nerve in the wrist. These braces are worn on the wrist and help reduce pressure on the median nerve by keeping the wrist in a neutral position. They can be worn during activities that may aggravate symptoms or at night to prevent wrist flexion during sleep.
