Bastion X

The concept of my design was to create spaces for a community of artists, builders, architects and craftsmen to function. The proposed spaces include workshops, studios or exhibition spaces but mainly rooms for short-term accommodation, which would be rented for a nominal price. The area would serve people who volunteer to come and improve the city. At the end of this utopian process, they would also be able to buy the renovated buildings for a symbolic price. The community would gather specifically in the bastions, which would connect to each other to form a whole main circle that would encircle Josefov around its entire perimeter. In each of the bastions there would be appropriate facilities for the craftsmen concerned - workshops, accommodation, studios, a nursery for children, canteens
