What the hell is that? says an old man walking by. In Mnichovo Hradiště, a new building has been raised from the ground, which fills up the empty space between other buildings in the rectory area. The new pilgrims house serves not just as a pilgrims accomodation, but also as a safe point for refugees. However, the question is, how do you fill up this empty space? Do you design the building to carefully blend or do you bet on the contrast? How to use this opportunity and express the idea of christianity? The design of the pilgrimage house comes with it's characteristics from the biblical story about Noah's ark. The volume of the building is supposed to evoke a ship turned upside down.
