BÝVANIE ŠAFRÁNKA

The apartment building in the Šafránky area represents temporary urban housing for employees from nearby hospitals and temporary housing for patients after discharge from hospitalization. The complex is formed from two objects connected by a communication neck. The first mass offers four 3-kk apartments suitable for wheelchair-accessible use, a multifunctional room for rehabilitation and a cafe accessible from Nad Motolská Nemocnicí street. The second provides housing mainly for interns and medical staff in four 1-bedroom apartments. The centre for encounter and community enjoyment represents the space between these masses. The goal is to provide a semi-private intimate bay for recreation, regeneration and rehabilitation with the possibility of social interaction and mixing of residents.
