The chairs for the community centre must meet many parameters. It has to be very versatile, comfortable, easy to store, flashy with some wit and above all cheap. I therefore chose an all-wood beech chair that is soft, warm and elegantly versatile as well as practical. Its main charm, however, is the way it is helically grafted. Not only will the spiral pattern that the chair creates create a sumptuous impression of Roman order in a cultural house, but at the same time there can be an "infinite" number of them on top of each other. By stacking the chairs on top of each other along one axis, there is no danger of the stack spontaneously toppling over.
