ŠAFRÁNKA APARTMENT BUILDING

The project proposal is a two-story residential building offering quality housing for workers or interns of the nearby Motol hospital. The material solution of the building was chosen according to the character of the surrounding buildings. The floor plan shape of the letter L forms a kind of courtyard, which is supposed to encourage people to meet, use natural vegetation, and above all to relax. The entrances to the individual apartments are designed from the courtyard, and from the porch on the 2nd floor. On the 1st floor there are two residential units, a community center, a utility room, a cellar and a bicycle/carriage shed. Furthermore, on the 2nd floor, which is accessible via an outdoor staircase or elevator, there are 5 apartment units with different layouts.
