Footbridge Kokrháč

The Kokrháč footbridge is located at the crossing of the Krakonoš Trail and the Boudecký stream near the Kotelní jáma in the Giant Mountains. The construction site is located on the forest hiking trail leading from Horní Mísečky to Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The concept of the design is the application of the principles of bonding tie structures. The wooden elements are connected by a steel bar. The footbridge is designed as an all-wood structure made of air-dried larch wood and only the connections are metal. The larch wood was chosen for its structural strength and durability, but at the same time it is a natural material and the footbridge will not disturb the surrounding nature. Its appearance and construction encourages you to stop for a short break while hiking on the Krakonoš Trail.
