Footbridge over the Boudecky stream

Bc. David Ludvík

Annotation

The footbridge is located at the crossing of the Krakonošová path and the Boudecký potok near Kotelny Jam in the Krkonoše mountains. The construction site is located on a forest hiking path leading from the village of Horní Mísečky to Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The terrain here slopes towards the south. The concept aims at sustainability and reuse of materials. It works on the principle of a turned railway the top and stiffening elements are added here due to the tilting of the rails, which are statically opposite stressed due to overturning by 180°. With a view to preserving the genius loci of virgin nature Krkonoš, the new footbridge does not have an obtrusive handrail.
