Mariánské Hory

Mariánské Hory area is located in the central part of Ostrava below the confluence of the Odra and Ostravice rivers. There are problematic points proposed for reconstruction in the area, mainly in the vicinity of the shopping center, near part of the Fifejdy housing estate, and transformation areas are also on the northern side under the railway. The area is generally stabilized, therefore the urban design focuses primarily on areas requiring greater transformation intervention, on finding and highlighting compositional and urban axes and, last but not least, on complementing the existing development. The proposed changes and adjustments in the area are created with respect and consideration for the character of the place, its genuis loci.
