Praha - Jahodnice

The solved area is located between the parts of Jahodnice and Hostavice and is separated from them by 2 connecting railway lines. The main concept was to design a new urban unit that would respond to the structure's fragmentation and increase the area's permeability. The design also included the creation of a local centre that would exploit the potential of the planned station and offer the residents the missing amenities. The main space is a square that responds to the compositional axis of the existing structures and serves as a link between the parts of Jahodnice and Hostavice and the new railway station. A local centre is created in the square, where civic and commercial amenities are concentrated. The project proposes housing, a primary school with sports complex and a start-up.
