Performin Art Center

Art Centrum in Litoměřice is a space with a small performance hall, balcony and rehearsal rooms, which now houses a dance studio. The basic concept of this space is the bright, neutral colour scheme of the hall's materials, which is modified by bright coloured lighting. This approach allows the mood of the interior to be significantly altered by adjusting the lighting. The bar area is designed with a polycarbonate structure that contrasts with the space, but does not look out of place due to the lightweight transparent material. The idea of using different lighting colours and transparent materials was inspired by the work of Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez. The principles of his three most famous works form the basis of the entire interior concept.
