ARTHROPOD

The objective is to create a temporary pedestrian and cycling connection between Letná and Lower Holešovice with a view of the construction site and an information center. The aim is to find an architecturally valuable form for a linear structure crossing Bubny between Veletržní and Dělnická streets. The bridge extends a highly important longitudinal axis of Prague. The shape of the bridge is defined by tangents to the axes of Dělnická and Veletržní streets. The structure consists of a wooden truss and subsequent cladding with red wooden boards. Thanks to the wooden material, it can be easily constructed and serve both temporary and permanent functions. The shape of the bridge resembles an animal moving through the street.
