HORNÍ A DOLNÍ HANYCHOV, A NEW GATE TO THE JEŠTĚD

This thesis deals with the landscape of Horní and Dolní Hanychov in Liberec and suggests smaller and larger landscaping interventions to try to cultivate it and make it more pleasant to dwell in. The newly urbanistically defined center brings an orientation point to the area, which is also a meeting place, and creates an environment for community life. The key topic consists of the detailed development of a new route to Ještěd, following in the footsteps of a forgotten sledding track, which vivifies an important layer of the cultural landscape. The work tries to transform the area into a more stable landscape system of interconnection, which is resistant to climate change and creates a pleasant place to live in.
