Annotation
The cemetery and the park may in fact be one and the same place. The park cemetery combines symbols of death and life, solidity and mutability, creating an ecosystem that recalls eternity and change simultaneously. The tree as tombstone reminds us that death is not something finite and separate, but part of life. A park cemetery can serve as an oasis of peace and contemplation. A resting place for the living and the dead. A place of (final) rest.
