WORKSHOPS FOR TEXTILE RESTORATION AND CONSERVATION

Annotation

In the southern part of the city center of Česká Lípa, near the Ploučnice River, there is a building that complements the existing fragmented situation. The location is attractive due to its advantageous position and proximity to the city center. However, the current state unfortunately hinders the full potential that the city offers. The structure consists of two houses, one wooden and one concrete. One has a touch of originality and history, while the other is modern and distinctive. The project takes inspiration from the original floor plan of the Velký Mlýn (Great Mill) - an original building from the 19th century. The house creates a statement not only in its immediate surroundings but also in the broader context of the city, thus becoming a firm and integral part of its structure.
