DŽBÁN SWIMMING CENTRE

In the north-west of Prague I propose the Džbán Swimming Centre, named after the reservoir of the same name with which it is adjacent. The reservoir itself provides many recreational and sporting opportunities in summer. In winter, however, Džbán has minimal swimming attendance for obvious reasons. The indoor swimming pool will therefore provide visitors with an extension of sporting activities during this period as well. Given the nature of the site, I have tried to respond to nature in the design. Both in the shape itself and in the materials used.
