DOG SHELTER

Ján Paločko

Annotation

Prague, Mezitratí. On a vast complex terrain, surrounded by two streams of railways and escapades, I propose a shelter for dogs, a veterinary clinic, a dog hotel, a dog school and a dog crematorium. The main part of the shelter, together with the hotel and veterinary clinic, is designed as a single-storey unit, operationally separated into two main wings. The northern wing belongs to administration and public contact. The southern wing is used to accommodate dogs in individual kennels, which have their own indoor and outdoor section. The two wings are connected by corridors with covered outdoor kennels. The two wings, together with the covered corridors, thus form small gardens with trees and tall grass that serve as enclosures for the dogs.
