The new plan for Chříč is to organize the buildings into a ubiquitous grid that provides a structure for a new community village connected to the elementary school. The grid is derived from the relationship to the village center, with the main axis following the tower of the village church near castle and creating a connection to the old village structure. The centerpiece of urbanism is a pergola that creates an informal public space for play or community events, festivals. The grid, in the form of galleries and terraces, replaces fences and walls, giving residents the opportunity to choose the extent of their involvement in community life.
