Interface Play

What will the interface of the housing estate look like as it approaches natural areas and the surrounding villages? This intersection - the meeting of the original villages of Holyně, Slivenec, and the new extension of the Barrandov - was the subject of the work. The different urban structures are separated from each other by a green belt, which ensures the connection of the surrounding forests. The belt is made up of cultural landscapes typical for this area, e.g., orchards, pastures, and meadows. It is, therefore, not a typical urban park but rather a rural landscape, which, however, by its design provides opportunities for new uses and space for diverse recreation. The common area design thus allows not only the involvement of citizens but also an overall change for the better.
