THE CIRCLE | STILL PRESENT

A circle has no beginning and no end. It is impartial, it denotes wholeness, unity, balance and order. It represents the image of the universe, the cycles of the seasons, the life of man and the orbits of the planets around the sun. Across time and different cultures, it represents an unsurpassed ideal of perfection. The aim of the semester's work was to design, in a newly emerging locality in Dolní Počernice, a school complex that should contain a new elementary school, a kindergarten and a sports hall. In connection with the school campus, it was also important to solve the urban planning of the wider area. We decided to create a place that would serve as the center of Dolní Počernice.
