LOWER UPPER

The urban design of Dolní Horní represents a new district in Dolní Počernice, which is situated on the outskirts of Prague 14. The overall concept shows the importance of public spaces and the connection of newly built developments to existing ones. The heart of the design is a trapezoidal square. It is defined by two apartment buildings with a commercial parterre and a cultural house with multifunctional use. The lower part of the square is near to the school area, which includes a kindergarten, gymnasium, dining room and sports oval. Among other things, the neighbourhood offers a number of smaller apartment buildings surrounded by greenery. In the northern part, a busy road leads Českobrodská, where other apartment buildings are situated, now with a commercial parterre.
