FISH & CHIPS

Bc. Michael Hovorka

Annotation

Blatná is a town with a rich history and cultural heritage. The historical center is connected to a castle with an extensive park that links the old town with nature. However, in the opposite direction, not much positivity can be found. Fishing area closed for public, an inaccessible river, major roads, and supermarkets with parking lots create a barrier in the area, dividing it into two parts. Permeability, sustainability, and connection with nature form the basis of my design. In the area where nowadays only fish can be found, a new multifunctional district will emerge, connecting the two parts of the town and simultaneously creating a new center for them.
