APARTMENT BUILDING LEGIONÁŘŮ

Our location, only a few tens of meters from the historic heart of Mělník, Náměstí Míru, presented several challenges. An unorthogonal plot of land, a complete lack of pavement or descending terrain and finally, the historical surrounding buildings of the city. The result is a four-storey apartment building with six apartments and commercial space on the ground floor. In order to maintain the perceived height of the cornice in the street, the apartment building has a deeply protruding top floor. As an intermediate space, protecting the interior from the busy street, a deepened lee was designed, serving residents and customers, as well as the general public seeking shelter. The entrance of the café and also the passage leads here.
