THE SPACE IN FRONT OF VRŠOVICE RAILWAY STATION

The project was designed on a site near the Vršovice railway station. The main goals were to complete the urban structure, to link to the street line, to improve the accessibility of the area and finally to optimize the space in front of the station. One of the main features of this area is that the railway line separates the Vršovice district from Nusle. To better connect the two areas, an underpass below the railway has been built here relatively recently. In my project, I tried to continue with this idea and put emphasis on connecting the districts. In shaping the future development, I therefore followed the direction of human movement and the existing typology of the surrounding streets and buildings. This is how I got to another underground tunnel towards Havlíčkovy Sady.
