APARTMENT BUILDING LETNÁ

The apartment building on Letná is located in the alley opposite National Technical Museum. The subject of the assignment was to design a block of houses with modern housing in such a way that it stands up against the beauty of the surrounding houses. I connect my apartment building with the building opposite and divide the elongated inner block into squares. The facade is divided by shallow risalits that make the mass vertical, and it is cladded with ceramic tiles in the shade of brick, thereby respecting the facade of the museum and the surrounding houses and not creating an odd object. The building does not compete with the surrounding buildings in terms of its appearance and at first glance gives it the feeling of modern living.
