The new center of Marienbad

The area in question is located in the heart of the spa part of the town. It is bordered by the Peace Square to the north and the park, which permeates the entire town, to the south, and the site is also close to the colonnade. The basic concept is to revitalise and reconnect the previously little-used land. The project thus proposes to build a community centre in the northern part of the site. This centre will be a new element that will complement and enclose the square area. Next to it will stand the municipal library building, buried in the ground along Vrchlického Street to respect the existing development. Nevertheless, it will be fully open towards the park thanks to its glass façade. An colonnade will connect the two buildings.
