Footbridge in Nové Město nad Metují

Annotation

The footbridge serves as a bridge between two banks over the Mlynský Náhon outflow not only for pedestrians but also for cyclists. The shape of the design responds to the environment in which it is located. In terms of material, the footbridge communicates with the opposite sluice, which is located less than 5 metres from it, and in terms of mass it also relates to the nearby benches that are located in the locality. The footbridge is made of light L-shaped reinforced concrete of white colour and porosity, which is anchored into the concrete by cantilevered steel I-profiles, the walking surface of which consists of porosity plates 1000x1150x30 mm. The railing is designed on one side only to allow a clear view of the outflow. The height of the railing is 1300 mm and its width is 250 mm. The
