Play of shadows

The apartment building is located on the main street of the newly established district in Kolín. The building responds to the city street on one side and to the spare residential development on the other. The aim of the design was to create spaces for the emergence of a neighborly community. The main means of expression of the building is the copilite wall on the eastern façade. It allows light to penetrate into the shadier parts of the building and also gives the whole project a name. On the ground floor there are two common rooms together with a laundry and a bicycle storage room + a roof terrace. The residential building consists of duplex apartments in the 3kk variant with a terrace facing the street or 2kk facing the river.
