HOUSE AS A GATE

For my apartment building, I selected a neglected piece of greenery, which is on sits on the exit from the Nuselský bridge to the historic center of Prague. This unique location offers fascinating views of the Nuselská údolí and Vyšehrad, which predetermined the choice for a glass facade with loggias. With this design decision, I brightened the apartments and made maximum use of the visual qualities of the surrounding landscape. Problematic noise becomes a critical element of this locality, which I reduce by covering part of the highway. As a result, a spacious inner block with pedestrian skylights is created, which will ensure the influx of natural light into the covered part of the highway. The result is a modern building that adequately responds to the surrounding environment.
