APARTMENT BUILDING U VRŠOVICKÉHO NÁDRAŽÍ x ROSTOVSKÁ V PRAZE 10

The site is situated in the historical part of Vršovice. I tried to reflect this fact in the design, which is more or less formal: it connects directly to the east-neighbouring building, both in footprint and profile. The footprint rejects the parallels of the given street, instead oriented along the opposite block bookend, which closes the block as a whole. This also allows for a driveable passage along the south-adjacent river Botič. The surfaces were chosen to be traditional as well. Brickwork facade, wooden window frames and black sheet metal roof.
