CORNER APARTMENT BUILDING NEAR THE TECHNICAL MUSEUM

The subject of the studio work was the design of an apartment building with a small cinema and a cafe on the ground floor, the plot of which is located in the center of Letná, next to the building of the technical museum. The surrounding block development of apartment buildings was a prototype for the design of the new common block. The morphology of the house is focused on the style of contemporary houses on Letná. The principles on which it builds are rhythm, symmetry and gradation. Thanks to this, the house is not alien in this environment. The mass of the house respects the horizontality of the neighboring special technical museum, which is why the house is oriented towards a vertical arrangement, especially with its corner tower.
