The area around the main train station in Kladno is currently neglected and unappealing. However, with the ongoing renovation of the railway line and platforms, new life will be brought into this space. With this shift, this area suddenly becomes one with huge potential.
The questions are: How can we keep this space from becoming inaccessible, purely functional, and unused by the residents of the town? And how can we inspire more people to hop on a train to Prague instead of driving, and perhaps even convince them to spend some time at the train station?
The main goal of the project is creating a useful, revitalized public space meant for residents and travelers waiting for their train. The buildings house inviting programs with the aim of finally bringing life back into the area.
