Water Church

Located in Holesovice, ‘Water Church’ is situated in an urban complex that includes residential buildings, a spa, and a spiritual space. Its circular design and the prominent “Water Cross” on the floor redefine spirituality as an intimate space, where light, shadow, and water create a dynamic and dialogic experience with people. The church has a public side to the west of the site, housing the sacristy, offices, and bathrooms, separated by a curved wooden wall that leads to the private side of the church. The exposed concrete walls, contrasting with the wooden altar and furnishings, enhance the sensory aspect of the spiritual experience. Church Water represents an architectural space that invites reflection and spiritual connection with the earthly.
