Annotation
- I designed the proposal for the Art Gallery in Ostrava with the idea of connecting to the industrial history of Ostrava and Dolní Vítkovice.
- The building is the final part of a complex of buildings separating the area Na Žofince from the railway track and Dolní Vítkovice, through which several important communication axes pass.
- The gallery is designed with a brick-glass facade with a steel skeleton in the main gallery section, reflecting the connection between old and new, and creating a beautiful new gateway to the new part of the city.
- In addition to gallery spaces and offices for its administration, the building contains a lecture hall, a souvenir shop, and a bar on the gallery roof promenade.
