OSTRAVA APARTMENT BUILDING

The apartment building is located in a newly built complex of apartment buildings in the Pod Žofinkou urban area in Ostrava. The house is set in a group of apartment buildings with the main entrance facing the courtyard. The mass of the building is simple in shape and maintains its ground plan up to the last floor, where it recedes in the corners of the prism and thus forms an imaginary cross at the top. The house has two identical regular raster facades which are repeated on opposite sides of the house. The design applies the principle of contrast between the plain white façade and the dark black window frames. The balconies are partially recessed into the structure and are located on the two opposite facades. On the top floor there are private terraces that belong to the upper apartments
