Barn in Postoloprty

The project concerns with the restoration of a now disused barn from the 18th century, which is located in a farm yard in Postoloprty. In addition to the historical restoration of the building itself, the design is supplemented by two identical wooden buildings that provide the comfort required today without disturbing the original structural design. The design of the extension consists of a timber frame structure placed on concrete foundations. This provides open space on the ground floor for various types of social activities and their facilities. On the first floor there is an insulated wooden building with four duplex apartments with private entrances. The shape of the new building follows the historic roof truss.
