Exhibition of Studio Projects

Annotation

The Pearl Opava project is inspired by the logo celebrating the 800th anniversary of Opava - Perl. It is an imprint of a sphere - pearls in the ground. The object is a meeting point, a chill zone, or a teaching space on summer days. It is possible to meet, sit, snack, lie down and dance here. The pearl is placed at the bottom of the square to enliven the place and expand its habitation. A pearl is a circular section embedded in the ground with a diameter of 10m. The walking area is a wooden terrace with curved boards. The lower supporting structure is also wooden. These are massive screeds cut into the desired shape standing on a gravel sub-fill, which will allow drainage of water.
