Kladno, Vojtěšská Huť

The goal of the project is to create an urban concept for the territory of the former industry, which is now only a brownfield. The proposal respects valuable buildings and highlights them as an important part of the memory. We created a link with the center and brought life in the form of a new neighborhood. We decided to design a wide "green stream" boulevard that will connect pedestrians with bicycles, cars and public transport. A linear park dominates the center, which will create a public space for pedestrians and cyclists. Near the historic center and the Trilobit Park, we decided to remove part of the unused greenery for the apartment buildings and restore the Karl Wittgenstein square. For the possible expansion of the district, we propose the continuation of the green stream.
