The Blob

Na Bulovce Hospital is one of the largest in Czechia, but its visual appearance does not correspond with the importance of the hospital. And it all starts from the entrance... The proposal finalizes the conceptual idea of the creation of a locally significant square after the removal of the Vychovatelna interchange. The name "Na Stráži Plaza" can be found at this address already today, but with the absence of a single gathering space, it hardly resembles anything like that. The front-face building of the square is a blob, which is both a figurative and a literal gate, and with its chiseled shape it naturally leads to something significant. Each of the three parts of the building has a different material treatment according to the significance of its function.
